Fire Extinguisher Recalls

ANSUL® Recalls Fire Extinguishers that Could Fail to Operate.
The recall involves K-GUARD® Wet Chemical, FLAG FIRE® KITCHEN ONE® Wet Chemical, FLAG FIRE® Water and SENTRY® Water Fire Extinguishers manufactured and shipped between May 2003 and September 9, 2005.

STRIKE FIRST® Recall to Repair Fire Extinguishers
The fire extinguishers can fail to discharge properly when the trigger is activated. The recall includes Strike First 2.5 lb and 5 lb dry chemical fire extinguishers with model numbers WBSF-ABC110AP, WBSF-ABC210AP, and WBSF-ABC340AP.

KIDDE® Recalls Industrial Fire Extinguishers
This recall involves all Kidde 10 lb. dry chemical fire extinguishers manufactured with a black plastic Zytel® nylon valve assembly and a steel cylinder between 1991 and 2000.

FIRST ALERT® Recalls Fire Extinguishers
The extinguishers can fail to discharge when the trigger is activated. Only First Alert model FE1A10G with serial numbers beginning with: RH, RK, RL, RP, RT, RU, or RW are included in this recall.

DISCOUNT STORES Recalls "Firestopper" Fire Extinguishers
Because of the high-pressure contents of these fire extinguishers, they can explode and expose consumers to flying debris, causing puncture wounds and blast injuries.

BADGER® Recalls of "American LaFrance" and "BECO" Fire Extinguishers
The nozzle assembly of the three models of fire extinguishers could blow off with enough force to cause serious injury. Approximately 84,000 American LaFrance and BECO fire extinguishers, models P-250MA and P-275RA, are being recalled.

BERNZOMATIC CORP. Recalls Disposable Foam Fire Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers may rupture and cause serious injury. The company urges anyone who possesses a Bernzomatic 1970 model FE18UL unit to discharge the contents. A free replacement may be obtained by calling Irwin Industrial (which owns the BernzOmatic brand name) toll-free at 800-654-9011.

COLBRA GROUP Recall of "FIRE CAP" Fire and Smoke Suppressants
Recall of more than 136,000 cans of "FIRE CAP" brand fire and smoke suppressant. The product does not suppress fires and could intensify fires. The product was manufactured by The Colbra Group, which is out of business.
